N250K FREE YOUTH BONANZA!!!

On the 31st December, 2025 , Obowo Community Radio will hand over N250k to one lucky winner.

All you have to do is submit a proposal or participate in any of the Categories listed below:

Contest Ideas

1. Essay Contest: Write an essay on “The Role of Youth in Developing Obowo Community” or “How to Improve Healthcare in Obowo.” The winner receives ₦250,000, and the essay is published on the community radio station.
2. Community Service Challenge: Participants must, write, produce and submit a short 30 minute video or collage of photos showcasing their community service activities, such as cleaning up a local park or helping elderly neighbors. The winner with the most impactful project receives ₦250,000.
3. Innovation Contest: Design an innovative solution to a pressing issue in Obowo, such as improving access to clean water or reducing waste. The winner with the best idea receives ₦250,000.
4. Art Competition: Create an artwork (painting, drawing, or sculpture) that represents Obowo’s culture or heritage. The winner receives ₦250,000, and their artwork is showcased on the community radio station.
5. Community Development Proposal: Submit a written proposal outlining a project that can benefit the Obowo community, such as building a community center or establishing a youth mentorship program. The winner with the best proposal receives ₦250,000 to implement their project.

Contest Requirements

• Participants must be residents of Obowo both home and abroad or have a strong connection to the community.
• Participants must be between the ages of 15 – 35 years of age.
• Submissions must align with any of the contest themes below and must be geared to benefit the community.
• A panel of judges will select the winner based on predetermined criteria.
• All submissions must be sent to reach us at our offices by email (info@oboworadio.com) on or before 31st November, 2025
